Guitar Hero Battle of Bands

Grab a partner and bring your Guitar Hero 3 skills December 30th to segway into the 2009 Year of Gaming at the Padlock Public Library. At 8:00 when the doors close to the public, registered VIPs will be granted entrance to the teen lounge and battle for an 8GB ipod Nano compliments of Padlocks Electronics.

Annoucing 2009 Senior Reads List



The first read for January 2009 is Cross Country by James Patterson.

The Padlock Public Library Senior Reading Program is happy to announce the book list and reading selections for 2009. Chosen by popular vote amongst the group, the books range from mystery to thriller and everything in between.

The Senior Reads group meets every first Friday of the month to discuss selected titles. Group members bring light snacks and utensils and the library provides coffee and tea to attendees compliments of the Friends of the Padlock Library.

Twilight

Come and talk about anything and everything related to Stephanie Meyer's Twilight December 20th at 5:00 on the garden patio. Drinks and snacks will be provided by the library as we talk characters, plot, love, vampires and most importantly Edward Cullen...

Following the get together we will be walking two blocks to the Napoleon Cinema Movie Theater for the 6:00 screening of the film. Discount tickets will be sold presale in the library. Please contact Librarian Carissa Purnell to reserve a ticket.

Santa Claus is coming to Town!

Join the Padlock Public Library in Welcoming Santa on December 23rd at 6:00pm by the fireplace. We will be singing your favorite Christmas Carols, reading stories, and sharing our holidays wishes. Every child will receive a special holiday treat following the program so be sure to arrive on time and save a seat.
