Adult

The Padlock Public Library provides a series of services for the adults in the community to facilitate learning and leisure. We strive to provide culturally relevant and contemporary materials for the community's information needs, as well as an array of popular demand books, films, music and periodicals to meet the relaxation and leisure interest of our patrons.

Senior Book Club

Join our Senior Reads group that meets every first Friday of the month to discuss selected titles. From mysteries to westerns the books are chosen from a survey completed by the members of group and assigned to a month. Click here for the new 2009 Senior Reads List.

English Literacy Program

The Padlock Library is proud to host biweekly courses for non-Native English speakers in our community meeting room. Each week staff from the Padlock Community College (PCC) staff join us to lead sessions about basic reading and writing skills, as well as conversational skills and practice. Currently the PCC staff are bilingual certified in: Spanish, Mandarin and Tagalog.
